Realisation was the prototype for trancsvoyeur making artist be pro active in their city this resulted in a touring show throughout Liverpool this was funded by the Liverpool culture company as part of the glitter events, this was also to highlight the city while the judges for Captial of Culture bid wher viewing the city. The objective of the project is to create an awareness of the environment of Liverpool with consideration of social and economic implications that found the attitudes and ideologies of the people. To promote a sense of pride in the community of the city and ultimately to attain a ‘Realisation’ of their own self worth synonymous to where they live – the city of Liverpool

Realisations Exhibition – The Atrium, Liverpool Echo and Daily Post.


Part (1) Ideological and Socio-Economic Sector:
The ideological environment of the city can be defined as the philosophies and views of the people and this collective voice represented in the media and tabloids. The foremost expressed in the words of the ‘Liverpool Echo and Daily Post’. Thus, this section of the city is selected as one particular area to promote the environment of the city. The location is not merely demonstrative of the beliefs, but is situated in the business sector of Liverpool and also captures the economic audience.


Part (2) Workshops with children at the Bronte Centre, Liverpool, with a selection of artists from the Realisations group. The communal environment of the city is composed of the people themselves. The demographics of the city a hybrid infusion and this cosmopolitan environment instituted by historical events, as well as contemporary transitions. The community base thus is an area for inclusion to this project. Through workshops the theme of the city’s environment will be explored, enabling members of the public to develop an awareness of their environment through cultural practice and interchange.

Part (3): Realisations Exhibition – Walker Art Gallery.
Cultural Sector:
The culmination of the ‘Glitter’ event was held at the ‘Walker Art Gallery’ on 27 March 2003. The art of the projects was exhibited within this venue The art could consisted of the professional images of the artists and the explorations of the community based projects, as this provide a relationship of the cultural practices in Liverpool and further an understanding and enlightenment of the cultural interaction within the city.

Part (4): Realisations Exhibition – Palm House, Sefton Park..
Heritage Sector:
An additional venue is the ‘Palm House’ in Sefton Park and relates the contemporary art to one of the architectural heritage. A narrative and unification in the art history of the city between the prestige of the structural design to the current artistic interpretations of the city.
